I was having a conversation with someone yesterday about statutory rape and the legal age to consent to sex. During this conversation, I realized that because times have changed so much over the years so should the laws for statutory rape.
Now before you start thinking I want it to be cool for a grown ass man to have sex with a 16 year old, that’s not what I mean. I think the legal age to consent should be different. A man should still get in trouble for having sex with someone under the age of 18, but I feel if she lies about her age and he doesn’t know she’s 16 he should get this harsh punishment because she’s technically not able to consent to sex.
Sometimes you can look at someone and tell they are only 16, but these days it really isn’t that simple. I just feel if a girl is lying about her age and willingly having sex with a man, she knew damn well what she was doing and the law shouldn’t take it upon themselves to say “ohhh no she didn’t, she’s ONLY 16″! Come on now, there is a show called 16 and pregnant! These chicks are legally allowed to get pregnant and then go on a reality show glorifying it, but they aren’t able to consent to having sex!!? GET THE F**K OUT OF HERE!
There should be a way the law also protects the men that really are innocent and just got tricked by these little 16 year old slut bags that are just wild and out of control! Then while they are looking for someone to punish for this “little girl” having sex with every adult man she comes across, they should search for the parents because obviously they aren’t paying attention to what the hell is going on in her life!
So, like I said… A man should get into trouble for knowingly having sex with a child under the age of 18, but don’t try to convince me a little 16 year old slut that’s lying about her age, sneaking into clubs and trying to get tea-bagged by some old head is the victim once the truth comes out!
Karma, karma, karma… Are you kidding me??? Look I understand the law and believe in it heart and soul. These so called men must protect themselves. The saying is true if you play with fire should it be a wonder to you that the possible of getting burned really does exist!! If I followed your logic, just because a minor acts like an adult that makes them and adult. I think not. The statutory rape law is put into play to protect our children even when they don’t want to be protected. Any man or woman that would violate this law, knowing or not; is putting their lively hood in jeopardy and of course risk being labeled a sexual predator if convicted. This may seem harsh but if we change the law to accommodate this issue, where would it stop? (17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10,……) The bottom line is simple, date who want and if you truly can’t prove that person isn’t a minor move on because no sexual encounter is worth taking the risk of being convicted of STATUTORY RAPE.

People having sex with minors should definitely be punished. How can you punish someone who doesn’t even know they are doing something wrong?? How do you go about proving that someone truly isn’t a minor? So you mean to tell me if a 16 year old girl is in a 21 and up club with a fake ID that says she’s 21, and is out late at 2 am like its nothing wrong with it and is trying to have sex with a man after a drunken club night he’s supposed to say oh wait she might be 16!? Hell no he ain’t. She is out at 2am, she has an ID that says 21 and she was in a club for adults! Why would he question that!!? BUT if her parents found out that she slept with said guy, He would get in all of the trouble! When the hell do we hold the little wild child responsible along with her dumb ass parents!?

realsailor… no. You FAIL. I’m pretty sure guys don’t check IDs, bend them, and then hold a flash to them to see if the holograms are authentic before they have sex with any female.
Reasons why realsailor failed:
Reason 1: Your ID name is realsailor so if you are a guy that’s in the Navy… you definitely would not check IDs. As I am also sure, throughout all your many deployments, you’ve been oversees and gotten sucked up by “Betty” from the Philippines. And we all know how old those girls are.
Reason 2: If you’re a female, I’m pretty sure that you were dating/messing with older guys before you joined.
Reason 3: Your reading comprehension sucks! What was your ASFAB score?…
And Reason 4: If you thought you had a valid point why didn’t you comment back to try to explain your point of view or stand by anything you said. Oh… you didn’t because this is yet another reason that proves why you have FAILED!!!
